Spring celebrations in Kent with a wedding and a Christening
The Gardens and woods of Eastwell Manor is a truly special place for this couple, having already tied the knot at the venue the previous year with a small covid restricted, but very special day. So this year same month, and a whole lot warmer so I am told , I got to shoot some more moments for the family album.
and just to add…. Their gorgeous baby son popped into world between celebrations to make this day a very family affair. https://www.champneys.com/hotels/eastwell-manor/weddings/

Arriving at the family home near Ashford in Kent we felt immediately in the swing with a welcoming cappuccino. Led through the beautiful family home to the garden where the bridal gathering of girls
were prepping with an excited buzz.

Arriving early on the wedding morning allows watching from the sidelines (and coffee drinking) while getting a feel for the day, this is as much about taking pictures as pressing the shutter. There is something about those first moments of a wedding day! The getting to know the couple, their family even their pets as you to get in close and connect. In this case the very proud dad presenting a guided home tour. Very humbling to be in that situation and making decisions of capturing a story of the path of memories ahead.

Intimate dynamic between the couple arriving at the alter. Something or I am thinking ‘someone’ very special has caught their eyes. This ceremony was a wedding renewal in the gathering of all the family and friends that during covid couldn’t join them and the couple’s new baby son is about to have his moment as we gather around the font for his christening.

The sun is trying to blow away that chilly cloud while the bridesmaids glow in very punchy burgundy dresses, contrasting nicely to the surroundings
Below a nod to travel and colour tones of the day and Italy became a detail shot moment.

Formal shots and cocktail hour is a time to show my enthusiasm which is equally met with guests enthusiasm. Try to keep it light and fun and for some reason on numerous occasions now this ends with a signing extravaganza, always such a great feeling that they must have enjoyed the process. All finished and time for wonderful food and renowned sticky toffee pudding (insert happy crew here as it came our way too, my gosh!)
Erin turning heads and stepping into the gardens in a showstopper of a dress

The dance of arrival moments and jostling to capture natural movements.

Right there – perfect ! Don’t think they needed my positive words they were in the moment.

And doesn’t this say it all as we now enter the big full on weddings we were so used to and 2022 is off with this beautiful day adorning my desktop.
