Glorious West Sussex village Wedding

When you meet a couple in the pouring rain for their engagement session and they say they will smile extra wide, you know it’s going to be an amazing wedding!

A wedding with a nod to Scottish heritage

From a single bagpiper leading the routes, the ties, the floristry, the guests in kilts to the sword next to a tartan edged cake

Surprised by their friends with a fishing twist, as a starter to the confetti aisle that was forming down the long main path

The whole day was in the small picturesque village in the heart of West Sussex. It was the most sunny gorgeous day and I could hear was the birds in full song everywhere I went, just lovely with moments of country quietness as I walked between the locations.

Lizzie, her bridesmaids and her family got ready in a nearby rural retreat about 5 minutes walk from the church. The groomsmen were at the family home which made morning prep photo’s seamless, flitting (I say flitting I didn’t mention the hill ) from one place to another. The village pub was of course going to play a part for the groomsmen pre wedding drinks and a gathering point right next to the church, how perfect!

Morning prep was also in full swing with the groomsmen, and as it was The King’s Coronation the following weekend there was a special brew

Such a lovely setting in the woodland behind the family home

What a way to get the party going, straight in with the mic in the bride and grooms hands. The most amazing karoake band with the awesome https://www.instagram.com/rockaoke/?hl=en

Celebrating with ‘Rusty’ their beloved car

I had the pleasure of being walked to my car through a very dark churchyard by the bride’s very lovely father, so very sweet of him.

Wishing Freddie & Lizzie the most amazing time as they start married life, heading off to Bali.
