Eleanor & David

A musical festival with vows.

After a marriage proposal on a transatlantic crossing on board the Queen Mary, this wedding was destined to be something quite special. The ship was hosting the National symphony orchestra and this was to be the platform for David to propose. Does it get any more romantic than this ?

After a lovely email from this wonderful couple dropping in my inbox, and one or two initial emails this is the message that followed from Eleanor “I’m so excited, this feels totally right, I ran downstairs to David when I saw your email saying ‘she replied, she replied’! ” You just know from that moment on, we are set for a wonderful wedding!

Eleanor spent the morning getting ready at https://www.alexanderhotels.co.uk/great-fosters with her bridesmaids and close family, before heading into Kingston upon Thames for a jaw dropping and I quote perfectly named “A Musical festival with vows”

What an entrance it was! As bystanders galore gathered to get a view of Eleanor, the organist could be heard playing Bach’s sonata in C as the streets nearby were filled with music.

This musical extravaganza was in no doubt going to the most glorious occasion, as David a Choral Musical director was to marry his bride Eleanor, a singer and an actress, not to mention the daughter of a popular and well loved British conductor. All Saints church in Kingston upon Thames was to host a 2 hour ceremony with full choir, brass, guest conductor and two organists. As Eleanor stood at the door of the church aisle and clutching her fathers arm, there was a choral introit which resounded from every arch, quite beautifully the most emotional entrance I have witnessed.

The most precious special touch was a veil change into a family heirloom just after signing the register.

Pure joy with one of the longest confetti aisle’s ever, not sure who enjoyed it the most and so good we encouraged the couple to go back through the line to take in every moment
